Animal Care Australia supports continual improvements in animal welfare. Trespassing and stealing animals does not result in improved animal welfare. For the good of all animals and support of farmers, these actions that are in other circumstances considered illegal should be discouraged and the offenders appropriately penalised. This is why Animal Care Australia has responded to this Inquiry. Animal rights lobbyists are attempting to stop this Bill – claiming it is a breach of their civil liberties – how is trespassing & abducting animals a breach of civil liberties?
